Peter M. Walzer is the founding partner of the Southern California law firm Walzer & Melcher LLP focused exclusively on family law. He is a past president of the Southern California Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is a former chair of the executive committee of the State Bar Family Law Section. Peter has been a Certified Family Law Specialist for 23 years and is a former president of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists. He on the Legal Education Committee of the American Bar Association Family Law Section and he is member of the Council. He is on the executive committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Family Law Section. Peter is a vice-president of the US Chapter of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Peter is on the Board of Governors of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
He is a member of the Elkins Family Law Task Force, a statewide panel whose charge is to propose measures to improve efficiency and fairness in family law proceedings and ensure access to justice for family law litigants. Peter was named Family Law Person of the Year in 2009 by the Southern California Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He was named by Super Lawyers as one of the top 100 lawyers in Southern California for 2010.
He is listed in Best Lawyers in America. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubble.
His articles have been published in Los Angeles Lawyer, ABA Family Advocate, California Lawyer, LACBA News and Review, and State Bar Family Law Section Family Law News among others.

Christopher C. Melcher
is a partner in the family law firm of Walzer & Melcher LLP in Woodland
Hills. He is a Certified Family Law Specialist by the California State Bar Board of Legal
Specialization. His practice focuses on complex family law litigation and the preparation of
premarital agreements. He is Chair of the California State Bar Family Law Section for the 2011-2012 term, and serves as a member of the Family Law Executive Committee of the State Bar of
California. He is a regular continuing legal education lecturer on family law issues statewide, and
the author of several articles and treatise chapters on financial issues in family law proceedings.
He holds the rating of AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell* and a rating of 10.0 (Superb) by Avvo.com. He earned his law degree at Pepperdine University, and was admitted to the California bar in
1994.

Leena S. Hingnikar
has been an associate with Walzer & Melcher LLP since 2008. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, San Diego and her Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School. While in law school, Leena served as a law clerk in the Whittier Law School Children's Rights Clinic. This position allowed her the opportunity to volunteer at the Orange County Guardianship Clinic and the Self-Represented Parties Court through the Orange County Superior Court. Leena also served as an executive committee member for the moot court honors board and received the "Best Oralist" award for the Sonnenberg Oral Advocacy Competition.
Leena is a member of the Southern California Family Law American Inn of Court, the Family Law Section of the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and theBeverly Hills Bar Association. She has served as an executive committee member on theSan Fernando Valley Bar Family Law Section. She is also a member of the South Asian Bar Association. She has lectured several times on family law issues at the Inn of Court and the National Business Institute. Leena has also been a volunteer judge for the National Juvenile Law Moot Court competition held at Whittier Law School. |

Jennifer L. Musika
is an associate in the family law firm of Walzer & Melcher LLP. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Vanderbilt University and her Juris Doctor from Boston University Law School. While in law school, Jennie was on the moot court honors board, serving as an executive committee member, participant, and student judge. She served as the secretary for the Children and Law Society. Jennie also served as a law clerk at Children's Legal Services in Boston, Massachusetts, and interned at the Legal Aid Society Juvenile Rights Division in Brooklyn, New York. She is a member of the Southern California Family Law American Inn of Court, the Family Law Section of the State Bar of California, the Family Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association. She has lectured several times on family law issues for the State Bar and for the Inn of Court.
